In August of 2023, Maui was devastated by wildfires that burned more than 2,500 acres affecting historic towns including Lahaina. These fires were intensified by 60-85 mph winds from hurricane Dora, a category 4 storm that made landfall, increasing the devastation and ranking it among the top10 deadliest wildfires on record since 1871. Old Lahaina town was completely devoured along with thousands of locals losing their homes in Lahaina and surrounding areas.
Health-e-Charity immediately began gathering essential team members along with volunteers including pastors, locals, and healthcare professionals to discuss ways we could be of service to the people of Maui. We quickly got boots on the ground in Maui to assess the most important issues and local concerns. We have raised $10,000 to date and will continue our efforts for as long as needed. If you would like to help our Maui's Team Ikaika, you can go to the "MERCH" link above where we have Maui t-shirts and sweatshirts for sale with 100% of profits going to the locals of Maui. Health-e-Charity is proud to offer our assistance to Maui and will continue to send our deepest Aloha's. Many Mahalo's.
